Voluntary Service

weltwärts

After finishing school, a vocational training or university many young people in Germany wish to go abroad. We offer an opportunity for young people to learn about environmental- and human rights organisations and work with them for 12 month.

European Voluntary Service

Since the eighties German and international long-term volunteers have been central to creating the work and atmosphere at KURVE Wustrow. They helped – and still help – in the office, the meeting house  and with seminars. Since 2008 we are part of the weltwärts programme - a volunteer service programme funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). We send German volunteers abroad and welcome international ones at our organisation in Germany.

Returnee Initiatives

Volunteers often come back from their volunteer service with manifold and vivid impressions. They bring a new perspective on global relations; perhaps even experienced inconsistencies, injustices and failures. They want to change something and make a difference. We have ideas for returned volunteers on how to become active.
