Dear friends at the Centre for Nonviolent Action,
We cordially congratulate you to your 20th anniversary.
As our sister organisation we are connected with each other from the very beginning and share the same values, principles and motivation for building peace with nonviolent means.
We have seen you growing strong and independent. We have seen you giving important impulses for dismantling enemy images and for a public discourse about the wars in the former Yugoslavia beyond the nationalistic mainstream in your societies. We have seen you training, inspiring and supporting many other peace activists from the region – and many of them not only stayed active but founded their own civil society organisations. We are lucky that we found good partners in many of them as well.
We have seen you sharing your insights and opinions with us and other partners – open and honest, sometimes pretty direct, but always in a constructive effort to improve and achieve more for our common cause. We are glad to have such a sister and partner in you.
Please stay strong and mindful, please continue your work in your inquiring way – as people and as an organisation!
We thank you for our long-lasting partnership and wish for many more years of close collaboration!
Take care, and celebrate!
All the best for the years to come
