A short film about our activities in Myanmar
Here you can find out
– what our civil peace worker Felix Hessler does in civil peace service exactly
– how he works with our partners
– what’s going on in Myanmar
In our new film, Felix Hessler and Nang Lao Kham tell us how they work together as equal colleagues and how they prepare the Peace Camp. “Myanmar Calling II” takes us to the green camp oasis, two hours by car from Yangon. This is where committed young people from all over the country find time to exchange ideas. Because they all combine new knowledge from the peace building trainings that Felix and Lao Kham have carried out with them in the past months. Here we learn what has changed for them since then. How they use their knowledge, for example, in refugee camps at the Thai-Burmese border or at the monastery school in Mandalay.
The film is a continuation of the first part, which was shot in 2018. In “Myanmar Calling Part 1” we traveled with our civil peace worker Felix Hessler from Wendland to Myanmar. We wanted to show what the special approach of KURVE Wustrow in civil peace service is. We got an impression of how Felix works with our partner organisation Mote Oo. How was Felix prepared for this? And how does the local partnership work with our principle of “working together at eye level”?
