What is the ZFD for KURVE Wustrow?

Since 2002, KURVE Wustrow has been sending peace worker as part of the Civil Peace Service.

KURVE Wustrow’s civil peace worker are usually integrated into local partner organisations and work in a team with a local counterpart to implement a project lasting at least three years.

We firmly believe that peace cannot come from outside, but must be shaped by the local people themselves. Working with local peace organisations takes time and requires a long-term partnership.

Through our cooperation projects, we aim to support our partners in expanding and improving the quality of their existing areas of work, or in breaking into new fields of work and setting up new programmes.

Through dialogue with the peace worker– who, as an external figure, brings a different perspective on the local situation to the partner organisation’s work – new ideas can emerge.

It is important that the project activities and results are sustainable beyond the project’s duration. That is why particular emphasis is placed on establishing sustainable structures that enable the work to continue even after the project has ended.
