Nepal: Call for Expression of Interest

KURVE Wustrow is a German INGO. The organisation was founded in 1980 with the aim of turning concerns about violent conflict, environmental degradation and social injustice into conscious nonviolent action. KURVE Wustrow is working in different countries in Europe, Asia and Middle East.

In order to expand our projects in the field of Social Inclusion, Gender Equality, Non-Violent Conflict Transformation and Civic Education aiming to create better living conditions especially for marginalised groups we are looking for eligible national and local partner NGOs. We are especially looking for project proposals focusing on supporting marginalised groups and using nonviolent means to achieve the project outcomes.

The project should focus on one or more of the following outcomes:

  • Civil society and local governments appropriately address causes of inequality and exclusion.
  • Local elected representatives have increased capacity to develop inclusive plans and budgets.
  • Vulnerable and marginalised groups have improved access to legal and economic opportunities.
  • Cases of violence, particularly against women, are reduced and advances of healing, reconciliation and justice for victims are observed.
  • Livelihood and negative impact of the COVID-19 epidemic of conflict affected people, particularly from marginalized groups, are improved.

The projects should be implemented in a one-year-period (2021). The projects can be located in Province 1, Province 2, Province 3, Province 4, province 5, Province 6 and Province 7.

The average yearly budget for a project will be around 80 000 Euro.

NGOs should have a strong and proven experience in the working area and in implementing projects in rural areas of Nepal. Besides, applying NGOs must be registered according to the prevailing laws and regulations of the Government of Nepal. Applying NGOs must have a PAN number, should have conducted yearly financial audits and have a sound financial and accounting system.

Experienced NGOs are invited to apply no later than 26.11.2020 17:00 Nepal Standard Time. The application must be submitted electronically to the email address mentioned below. The application must include:

  • description of the organisation
  • Registration certificate at District Administration Office, renewed and up to date
  • Affiliation certificate with SWC
  • PAN number
  • Latest three Audit Reports
  • description of the project background
  • the project location
  • planed project activities
  • budget plan

It should be clear from the application, that the organisation fulfills the criteria listed above and has the proven experience in the field.
