Book: Uninvited. 25 stories about the Russian occupationThe book documents the reality of life in the occupied territories of Ukraine between 2014 and 2022. Following its initial publication in Ukrainian in 2024, this collection is now being presented in English. It contains 25 personal accounts from the regions of Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv, revealing why life under Russian rule is unacceptable for the Ukrainian civilian population. The book documents the coping strategies of those affected and their civil resistance to the occupation.“The essays provide insight into traumatic experiences with bombing and hunger, as well as the challenge of being faced with the choice of leaving one's homeland or having to deny one's own identity under occupation,” says Volodymyr Shcherbachenko. We want to give our guests time to talk about themselves. So it will be less of a reading and more of a storytelling and discussion session. We look forward to seeing you and thank you for your interest.-------------------Date: Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. – approx. 90 minutesLocation: 29462 Wustrow, Kirchstr. 14 – KURVE Wustrow e.V.Admission: Donation boxLanguage: English (Whispered translation into German available on request.
