Download Outsiders in Movements As a movement organisation involved in local movements in Germany, KURVE Wustrow has also been supporting nonviolent resistance movements in other countries. The main theoretical objective of this study is to shed light on the role of outside actors through developing and applying a framework of analysis. The main practical objective is, on the one hand, to inform external actors on what types of support might be meaningful for a movement. On the other hand, it is to contribute to an information basis for actors of nonviolent resistance to decide if and what kind of support they want to receive. An additional objective is a self-critical depiction of KURVE Wustrow’s Civil Peace Service programme in Palestine and Israel between 2012-2016. Essentially, the aim of this study is to contribute to the promotion of fruitful external support to nonviolent resistance movements, and to decrease potentially harmful effects.
