suchen wir

eine*n ZFD-Länderkoordinator*in (Friedensfachkraft) - d/w/m in Kathmandu/Nepal

Als internationaler ZFD-Länderkoordinator*in sind Sie zusammen mit unserem nationalen Länderkoordinator für die Begleitung der Partnerorganisationen, Projekte und Friedensfachkräfte der KURVE Wustrow in Nepal verantwortlich. Sie unterstützen und beraten Partner und Fachkräfte bei der Projektumsetzung, stellen Monitoring, zweckmäßige Mittelverwendung und Berichterstattung sicher und beteiligen sich an der strategischen Weiterentwicklung des Programmes.

Tätigkeitsfelder:

  • Vertretung der KURVE Wustrow in Nepal, insbesondere gegenüber staatlichen Institutionen und in lokalen Koordinationsgremien mit anderen Organisationen
  • Unterstützung der Koordination und Verhandlung mit Ministerien und Behörden in Nepal in Bezug auf Projektbewilligungen, Visa- und Steuerangelegenheiten u.a., sowie der entsprechenden Berichterstattung
  • Mitarbeit und Koordination in regionalen Netzwerken der Zivilgesellschaft in Süd- und Südostasien
  • Fachliche und personelle Begleitung von bis zu 3 internationalen Friedensfachkräften
  • Prozessbegleitung für die Einzelprojekte der ZFD-Partner der KURVE Wustrow in Nepal
  • Unterstützung bei Strategieentwicklung und wirkungsorientierter Planung, Monitoring und Evaluation von ZFD Projekten inklusive der Entwicklung von neuen Projektideen und der Identifizierung neuer Partnerorganisationen
  • Organisation und Moderation von Fach- und Koordinationstreffen der Projektteams inkl. Beratung und kollegialer Intervision sowie das Durchführen von Planungsworkshops mit Partnerorganisationen
  • Organisation von Weiterbildungsmaßnahmen für Projektteams, Partner und deren Netzwerke in gewaltfreier Konflikttransformation
  • Sicherstellung einer ordnungsgemäßen Finanzmittelverwendung und Berichtslegung durch eine*n lokale*n Wirtschaftsprüfer*in sowie regelmäßige Kommunikation mit der Geschäftsstelle in Wustrow
  • Durchführung von Konflikt- und Sicherheitsanalysen sowie Mitwirkung an dem Erarbeiten von Sicherheitsrichtlinien sowie anderen für den Länderkontext relevanten Hintergrunddokumentation und Regelungen.

Qualifikationen:

  • Relevanter (Fach-)Hochschulabschluss (mind. Master in z.B. Friedens- und Konfliktforschung, Gesellschaftswissenschaften oder Regionalwissenschaften)
  • Relevante Weiterbildung im Bereich zivile, gewaltfreie Konflikttransformation
    (z.B. Ausbildung als Friedensfachkraft, als Trainer*in für Konflikttransformation, Mediator*in, …) von Vorteil
  • Mehrjährige Praxiserfahrung in der Arbeit mit NGOs, vorzugsweise in interkulturellen Teams und/oder im Ausland
  • Fundierte Kenntnisse im Bereich zivile, gewaltfreie Konfliktbearbeitung und Menschenrechte sowie Erfahrungen mit und/oder Nähe zu gewaltfreien sozialen Bewegungen
  • Erfahrungen in Projektmanagement, Budgetkoordination und Finanzmittelverwaltung im Rahmen von Projektfinanzierungen durch öffentliche Geber
  • Erfahrungen in der Zusammenarbeit mit und Begleitung von Organisationen und Bewegungen/Aktivist*innen aus dem Menschenrechts- und Friedensbereich sowie Kenntnisse zu den spezifischen Herausforderungen bzgl. Organisationsentwicklungs-prozessen
  • Erfahrungen in Moderation, Training und Prozessbegleitung von Vorteil
  • Kontextwissen und Arbeitserfahrungen in Nepal oder Südasien sind gewünscht
  • Bereitschaft zu Dienstreisen auch in entlegene Gebiete

Vertragsbedingungen:
Wir bieten einen Vertrag nach dem Entwicklungshelfergesetz (EU-Bürger*innen) bis zum 31. Dezember 2026 (unter der Voraussetzung, dass der Folgeantrag für das Programm ZFD über den 31.12.2024 hinaus bewilligt wird und Einreisebedingungen nach Nepal gegeben sind). Der Vertrag, inklusive einer dreimonatigen Vorbereitungszeit in Deutschland, beginnt voraussichtlich am 15. September 2023.

„Dealing with the Past and Peace Education in the Western Balkans“
together with our partner organisation Action for Nonviolence and Peacebuilding (ANP) we are looking for an
International Peace Worker in Gjilan/Kosovo (m/f/d)

Action for Nonviolence and Peacebuilding (ANP) is a civil society organisation working mainly from Gjilan/Gjilane and Prishtina, with the vision and ambition to contribute to sustainable peace in Kosovo and in the region. ANP as peace grass-roots organisation has implemented various projects in the fields of peacebuilding, peace education, dealing with the past and public policies. By promoting tolerance, peace and reconciliation through non-formal peace education and peacebuilding programs, ANP is focusing on the development of a culture of nonviolence and respecting and accepting the differences between diverse communities, aiming to make them change makers for peace and progress in the future.

Fields of work:

As an integrated International Peace Worker you will support ANP in fostering the reconciliation process amongst those affected by the war, as well as supporting a public dialogue about dealing with the past by means of publications, exhibitions, etc.

  • Planning, implementation, monitoring of and reporting on the CPS project together with the Local Peace Workers
  • Supporting the ANP-team in preparing and implementing trainings/workshops on civil, nonviolent conflict transformation and dealing with the past.
  • Supporting ANP in organising events and presentations, public relations and advocacy activities
  • Integrating into the partner organisation’s team and, if required, contributing to processes regarding program and organisational development, while adjusting to the partner organisation’s working conditions.
  • Budget planning and monitoring, ensuring a proper and adequate application of funds, regular communication with the CPS regional coordinator and KURVE Wustrow in Germany
  • Developing ongoing conflict and security analysis related to the CPS work in cooperation with the regional coordinator and willingness to cooperation with other CPS workers in the Western Balkans
  • Where necessary, contributing to public relation and networking activities of KURVE Wustrow in Germany.

Requirements:

  • University or similar degree in peace and conflict studies, political science, international relations, pedagogy or another relevant field
  • Advanced training in the field of peacebuilding and civil conflict transformation (e.g. as a trainer for conflict transformation or mediator); experience in the field of reconciliation and dealing with the past is a strong asset
  • Work experience within NGOs, preferably in international context or intercultural teams
  • Sound knowledge in the field of civil, nonviolent conflict transformation, as well as experience with social movements
  • Relevant working experience in project management (incl. administration of funds)
  • Knowledge on project planning, monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience in Content-Management-Systems (CMS), Social Media and public relations
  • Willingness to frequent work-related travels

Fields of work:

As an integrated international peace worker you will support our local partner organisation in strengthening inter-ethnic relations in the country through anchoring peace education and nonviolent communication in the formal and non-formal educational system.

  • Plan and implement the CPS-programme together with a local peace worker
  • Support of trainings and workshops in nonviolent communication and peace education in schools
  • Support in organising events, public relations and campaigns for peace education as well as of the compilation of publications
  • Integration into the partner organisation’s team and adjustment to the partner organisation’s working conditions

“Working with change agents, dealing with the consequences of violence and networking for social transformation”
together with our partner organisations from the Myanmar programme we are looking for an
International Peace Worker (m/f/d) based in Siem Reap/ Cambodia
 

Fields of Work:
As an international peace worker, you are responsible for accompanying KURVE Wustrow's partner organisations from the Myanmar programme in questions of security management with a holistic security approach. Additionally, you will support network building with similar organisations, mainly from the Sri Lanka programme. One focus of your work will be on psychosocial support (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, MHPSS) for partners and their target groups. In addition, you develop, if necessary with an external consultant, basics of physical and digital security support as well as support for security and risk management (SRM). You will be based in Cambodia (where KURVE Wustrow starts to establish a regional networking component), with frequent travels (potentially) to Myanmar, to Thailand as well as to Sri Lanka and maybe other countries in the region.

  • Identification of security and risk management (SRM) needs of partner organisations;
  • Development of strategies for the systemic inclusion of psychosocial, physical and digital security aspects as well as SRM into organisational structures and project work as well as support during implementation (including strategies to foster linkages and mutual enrichment between holistic security elements and project work);
  • Development of materials and tailored activities on MHPSS for staff of partner organisations and their target groups (including teachers, activists, students, young people, children, women, civil society organisations, members of minority groups);
  • Consultancy, trainings and trainings of trainers for partners in the field of MHPSS and trauma sensitivity in project work, as well as basic knowledge and application of digital and physical security (if necessary partly with external consultants);
  • Sensitisation, training and consultancy of Civl Peace Service (CPS) country teams in project work related to psychosocial well-being and trauma sensitivity;
  • Promoting regional, cross-country exchange and reflection spaces between CPS partner organisations as well as creating synergies in the field of MHPSS and security and risk management;
  • Exchange and networking with other national and international organisations in the field of MHPSS and holistic security;
  • Establishment of a knowledge management system on holistic security for the Myanmar and Sri Lanka country programmes;
  • Support of internal processes on SRM such as programme development (if requested);
  • Ensuring a proper and adequate application of funds and reporting as well as regular communication with the CPS coordinators and KURVE Wustrow in Germany;

Requirements:

  • Psychologist, psychotherapist, educator/pedagogue, social or peace worker or comparable background with several years of work experience in the field of MHPSS;
  • Sound knowledge of and experience with different methods in the psychosocial support of persons who have experienced/ are experiencing violence and/ or are working under repressive conditions;
  • Sound knowledge of and experience in the field of peacebuilding and civil conflict transformation;
  • Sound practical knowledge of the holistic security approach;
  • Knowledge of and practical experience in supporting civil society organisations in the development and implementation of security and risk management;
  • Basic knowledge in the practical application of digital and physical security measures for organisations and employees; willingness to enhance user-oriented knowledge;
  • Experience as a trainer and consultant for civil society organisations;
  • Competence in gender-conscious and non-discriminatory working methods;
  • High willingness to learn and the ability to react flexibly to structures and concerns of different partner organisations;
  • Experience in working with intercultural teams, preferably in Southeast and/or South Asia;
  • Regional knowledge and work experience in Southeast and/or South Asia are an advantage;
  • General counselling and mediation skills, application of participatory methods in an intercultural context;
  • Commitment, high frustration tolerance and the ability to deal with conflicts;
  • Very good knowledge of English; knowledge of Burmese, Tamil and/or Sinhala is an advantage; willingness to learn at least one national language;
  • Willingness to work constructively in a small regional team of CPS professionals;
  • Willingness to work partly online with partners and team members in different locations as well as to travel within the region.

Empowerment of Civil Society for Nonviolent Conflict Transformation with State Actors
we are looking for an
International Peace Worker (m/f/d) for projects implemented in Ukraine

Temporarily settled in the EU/Germany, with the future perspective, according to security situation, to work in the Ukraine

with our partner organisation Platform for Nonviolent Activism

Platform for Nonviolent Activism gathers three Ukrainian NGOs whose activities aim at strengthening the civil society, promoting human rights, democratic changes and the rule of law in Ukraine. The Platform for Nonviolent Activism consists of: ‘Association of Middle East Studies (AMES)’, Kyiv; Theatre for Change, Kyiv; Network for Responsible people, Kyiv. The Platform provides legal counseling and assistance, psycho-social support, conducts capacity building, community-based civil society development, and advocates for changes in the Ukrainian legislation.

Fields of work:

As an integrated International Peace Worker, you will support the Platform in documenting, developing and disseminating constructive models of nonviolent conflict transformation between civil society actors and governmental structures in Ukraine. You will support existing trainings for the civil society development, educational opportunities and individual advice on strategic and tactical aspects in order to be able to conduct successful negotiations in conflicts within the society.

  • Planning, implementing and monitoring the CPS project in close cooperation with local peace workers of the Platform
  • Supporting the development of concepts and projects [seminars and trainings] for nonviolent activism and nonviolent conflict transformation, particularly regarding state-citizen relations.
  • Supporting the Platform for Nonviolent Activism in the field of project management, communication, trainings planning, seminars and others
  • If possible jointly conducting seminars
  • Supporting production of media content and distribution of Platform`s contents
  • Integrating into Platform for Nonviolent Activism team and, if required, contributing to organisational development, while adjusting to the partner organization’s work culture
  • Contribution to public relation and networking activities of the Platform for Nonviolent Activism and KURVE Wustrow in Germany
  • If necessary budget planning and monitoring, ensuring a proper and adequate application of funds, regular communication with the CPS regional coordinator and KURVE Wustrow in Germany
  • Close cooperation with the country coordinator on ongoing conflict analysis and security situation

Requirements:

  • University or a similar degree in Peace and Conflict Studies, East European History, Political Science, Slavic Studies, Sociology, Ukrainian Studies, International Relations, or another relevant field. Ideally with a focus on Eastern Europe/ Area Studies
  • Advanced training in the field of civil nonviolent conflict transformation
  • Sound knowledge and experience in the field of civil, nonviolent conflict transformation as well as experience with social movements, ideally from a working context in Ukraine or a comparable context
  • Practical work experience in cooperation with NGOs, in intercultural teams and/or abroad, ideally from a working context in Ukraine or a comparable context
  • Proven comprehensive experience in project management activities
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian civil society environment and work experience in Ukraine would be a very strong asset
  • Willingness to work and live in Uzhorod in Ukraine (If security situation allows and with regular travel to other Central Ukraine`s regions under the same condition)
